There are BMW Drivers and there are people who drive a BMW. The latter ones call for repair quotes and, heavens, they ask us how much we charge for an oil change. BMW Drivers, however, call ahead and stop by for a “show and tell”. Preferably before the car needs any service or repair. That way you get to know the shop and the people, you will learn what name brand parts would be installed during repair & service and, most importantly, we will show how we calculate the labor charges. After “show and tell”, you will drive off confident that you won’t be short-changed in parts used to repair your BMW and that you won’t be overcharged on the labor side. All it takes is a little bit of time out of your schedule and mine. I know it is old school, but it works for me for over 30 years servicing BMW. A nice side effect of “show and tell” is, that I will have enough information about your car to later answer your questions over the phone. And yes, that would include repair estimates.

I started racing BMWs in 1973. Mostly street rally events. It is a lot of fun competing against other racers. Winning or not was never the reason to race, the party after the race was what all drivers were looking for.
